INEC Grants Upload Access Codes to APC, PDP, ADC, NDC and Others for 2027 Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission has issued access codes to nine political parties. These codes enable them to upload candidates for president, senate, House of Representatives and governorship seats, excluding the off-cycle polls in Kogi and Osun. A senior INEC official, speaking on condition of anonymity, dismissed claims that the Nigeria Democratic Congress was denied access. He confirmed that the commission has treated all eligible parties fairly and that the NDC has its credentials. INEC expects to issue codes to additional parties before the close of business, potentially raising the total to 13. The commission urged Nigerians to disregard reports suggesting any party would be blocked and reaffirmed its commitment to a level playing field ahead of the 2027 elections.
