Inside Enugu International Hospital Ahead of Its Inauguration
Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah has toured the Enugu International Hospital ahead of its inauguration, saying the facility is equipped to provide advanced specialist care and help reduce medical travel abroad. The hospital is expected to offer cancer treatment, heart and vascular care, neurosciences, renal and transplant services, as well as mother-and-child, dental, eye and other general medical services. Its planned capabilities include PET scans, oncology treatment, open-heart surgery, dialysis, telemedicine and digital health services. The state government says diaspora medical professionals have shown interest in returning to work at the facility. Health officials believe the hospital could create jobs, improve access to specialist treatment and position Enugu as a medical-care destination.
