FG to Reassess ₦70,000 Minimum Wage, Gbajabiamila Confirms
The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, says the Federal Government will review the national minimum wage. He spoke at an Abuja event organised by Working People United and noted that the ₦70,000 wage set in 2024 no longer matches current realities. Gbajabiamila added that when the review process begins, the administration will work with organised labour as partners rather than opponents. He urged both sides to choose dialogue over disruption, stressing that progress is achieved together.
