Ondo Government Implements Revised Federal Salary Scale for Health Workers
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has approved the adoption of the updated federal salary structure for medical officers and other health staff in Ondo State. The announcement, made in Akure by the Head of Service, highlights expectations to boost morale, improve productivity, and attract more talent into public healthcare. The administration also plans to recruit additional personnel to address staffing shortages in state hospitals. This salary revision is part of broader public service reforms, which include processing retirement benefits without delay and expanding recruitment. More than 5,000 new employees have been hired across various sectors, and accommodation support has been approved for 150 retired graduate headmasters whose cases had remained unresolved since 2009.
