UniAbuja SUG President Applauds Badejo-Okusanya’s NBA Leadership Bid

UniAbuja SUG President Applauds Badejo-Okusanya’s NBA Leadership Bid

The first elected female President of the Students’ Union Government at the University of Abuja described Mrs. Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya SAN’s bid for the Nigerian Bar Association presidency as a profound inspiration for the next generation of female leaders. She noted that seeing a fellow woman and Senior Advocate stand alongside other prominent SANs sends a powerful message that no professional height is beyond reach. Trailblazers like Badejo-Okusanya and icons such as Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala are carving legacies that guide young women to break barriers. Mrs. Badejo-Okusanya brings a rich legal profile as Partner and Co-Head of Litigation at Africa Law Practice, former General Counsel to the Lagos State Governor, and Chair of the NBA Annual General Conference Planning Committee. The SUG President herself has made history as UniAbuja’s first female student leader and now champions gender inclusion and entrepreneurship on campus.

While support for female leadership is welcome, this might be more symbolic than a driver of real change within the Bar Association.
