Keyamo Accuses Peter Obi of False Claims Over Abuja Airport Incident

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo has accused Peter Obi of making false claims about an alleged harassment incident at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. Speaking on Channels Television, Keyamo said Obi claimed he was targeted because of his opposition status. The minister argued that the allegation should have been verified by the aviation authorities before it was made public. Keyamo also renewed his demand for Obi to apologise to airport workers within one week. He said Obi gave conflicting accounts of an incident involving his vehicle’s tyres being clamped at the airport.

Both sides should lay out their accounts plainly, including what happened at the airport and why, so the public can judge the claims fairly.
