Activist and lawyer Dele Farotimi said in a recent podcast interview that both the Buhari and Tinubu governments have effectively enabled Fulani terrorists to overtake Nigeria. He warned that impunity granted to these groups has worsened the security crisis. Farotimi recalled a case where a terrorist killed an Assistant Commissioner of Police, donned the officer’s uniform and even joined official peace talks. Farotimi argued that this level of state helplessness has allowed terror networks to spread unchecked across the country.
