Nigeria’s Suliat Abideen Joins Fenerbahçe on Seasonal Deal
Fenerbahçe has completed the signing of Nigerian midfielder Suliat Abideen until the end of the season. The 24-year-old joined from ABB Fomget and will link up with compatriots Flourish Sebastine and Regina Otu. The club confirmed that Abideen played as an attacking midfielder in Turkey’s Women’s Super League last season. “We welcome Suliat to our squad and wish her success in our Çubuklu jersey,” Fenerbahçe said in a statement. Abideen arrives off a standout campaign at home, where she lifted the NWFL title and was named Player of the Tournament. She also earned MVP honours at the 2024 WAFU-B Women’s Champions League qualifiers. Fenerbahçe are defending Turkcell Women’s Super League champions and will feature in the UEFA Women’s Champions League in 2026/27.
