NNPP Founder Rejects Kwankwaso’s Claims of External Influence

NNPP Founder Rejects Kwankwaso’s Claims of External Influence

The NNPP says Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso left the party due to his own power struggle, not outside forces. Founder Dr. Boniface Aniebonam accused Kwankwaso of blaming outsiders for problems he created. He noted that courts upheld Kwankwaso’s and Elder Buba Galadima’s expulsions. Aniebonam pointed to the 2023 agreement with the Kwankwasiya Movement. That deal helped Kwankwaso contest the presidency and secured wins for NNPP in Kano, but internal mismanagement led to defections. He urged Kwankwaso to end “ungodly” insinuations and move on rather than fault perceived enemies.

Ensuring transparent party processes and open member feedback can help prevent similar power struggles from becoming public crises.
