The Ogun State Police Command says it rescued a 29-year-old kidnap victim less than 24 hours after he was abducted along Ogere Road in Iperu-Remo. The victim was found injured after a joint search involving the police, So-Safe Corps and Amotekun Corps reportedly forced the kidnappers to flee. He is receiving treatment, while the suspects remain at large. Police said Operation KOSAYE also resulted in the arrest of 24 suspects across the state. Officers recovered four firearms, 11 live cartridges, two vehicles, a stolen motorcycle and other suspected stolen property. Joint searches involving police, So-Safe and Amotekun appear useful here; maintaining that coordination could improve response times.
