Umahi Offers N1bn if Ohiri Proves N280m Debt

Umahi Offers N1bn if Ohiri Proves N280m Debt

The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has challenged businesswoman Tracy Ohiri to substantiate her N280 million claim. He says she must present verifiable evidence or take the matter to court. If she succeeds, a reward of up to N1 billion awaits her. Ohiri first went public with allegations of unpaid campaign materials and sexual harassment. She later retracted those claims under legal pressure and issued a public apology. Days later, she released a new video saying she was coerced and promised payment that never came. Umahi’s office insists no financial deal was made and that his lawyer acted in good faith. He warns that, without solid proof, his legal team will pursue full court processes. He remains focused on delivering infrastructure projects and safeguarding his reputation.

This challenge puts both parties under real scrutiny and pressure. It's important for claims to be backed by clear evidence. How do you think this offer affects public trust in political figures?
