Timi Frank Warns of Alleged DSS Plot to Arrest El-Rufai at Abuja Court
Former APC spokesman Timi Frank says he has reliable information that DSS operatives plan to abduct ex-Governor Nasir El-Rufai when he appears before the Federal High Court in Abuja. Frank claims this action would defy existing court orders that El-Rufai remain in ICPC custody pending further hearings. He alleges security officials met overnight to finalise the plan, describing it as a political move by the Tinubu administration. He warns that any forced arrest or prolonged detention would undermine the rule of law and urges the President, security agencies and Kaduna State government to respect judicial orders. Frank calls on civil society groups, northern leaders, religious bodies and the international community to monitor the case closely. While supporting anti-corruption efforts, Frank insists they must be balanced and free of political persecution. He warns that targeting El-Rufai now may have serious consequences for Nigeria’s democratic process.
