INEC to Delist ADC Leaders David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola Pending Court Ruling

The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced it will remove Senator David Mark and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola from its official portal for the African Democratic Congress. This decision follows a preservatory order from the Court of Appeal in Appeal No. CA/ABJ/145/2026: Senator David Mark v Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe & Ors. INEC also suspended recognition of the ADC leadership until the appeal is concluded, according to a press release by National Commissioner Mohammed Kudu Haruna.

I'm not convinced this move alone undermines ADC credibility significantly; many voters focus on policy, not individual names.

It's curious that INEC moved so swiftly on this delisting, especially before the Court of Appeal formally rules on the preservatory order.

I no think this delisting will shake ADC operations, since candidates fit still campaign while court decision dey pending.

ADC might need to communicate clearly with supporters about the legal process and reassure them of leadership stability until the appeal is decided.
