Lagos Court Issues Arrest Warrant for Businessman Over N1.2bn Fraud
A Federal High Court in Lagos has issued a warrant for the arrest of Rolland Oluwasegun Elusoji. He faces charges of conspiracy, obtaining by false pretence and money laundering involving N1.207 billion. Justice Alexander Owoeye signed the warrant on February 18, 2026. Elusoji failed to appear in court despite being served by email and his lawyer. Two co-defendants, Oladejo Funmilayo Grace and Abiola Oluwasegun, are also at large. The Police Special Fraud Unit alleges the men defrauded Otunba Seye Famojuro. They claimed to buy a 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE 63S and real estate on his behalf. Sections of the Advance Fee Fraud Act and the Money Laundering Act form the basis of the charges. The court has adjourned arraignment until May 25, 2026. Security agencies have been directed to arrest the accused wherever found.
