₦1.15 Trillion Missing: Sacking the Finance Minister Isn’t Enough

This country is not serious. ₦1.15 trillion has disappeared while contractors remain unpaid and projects lie abandoned. The only response was to quietly remove the Finance Minister. No investigation. No arrests. No explanation. Where is the money? Who approved it? Who monitored it? Why are contractors still begging for payment? If nothing is hidden, open the books. If something is hidden, someone must answer. A single sacking is not accountability.

It's alarming that contractors still haven't been paid and projects lie abandoned while the only action was a minister's quiet removal.

Surely the opposition and civil society share blame for failing to push for arrests or a full investigation into missing funds.

Organise town hall meetings and petition the auditor general, demanding detailed expenditure reports to track down that vanished ₦1.15 trillion.
