FG Urges Nigerians to Dial 112 for Medical Emergencies, Releases State Numbers
The Federal Government has urged Nigerians to dial 112 when urgent medical help is needed. The National Emergency Medical Service and Ambulance System said the line connects callers to emergency medical assistance and is available 24 hours daily. The agency also released emergency call centre numbers for 35 states and the FCT. While many states use 112 alongside additional dedicated lines, emergency call centres in Benue and Imo were listed as not operational. NEMSAS advised residents to save the relevant emergency numbers and contact them promptly during medical emergencies. It said trained first responders are available to provide rapid care and help save lives.
