For generations, Fulani herders visited during the dry season and peacefully fertilized our farms with their cattle. Then one year, they seized the land and refused to leave. Indigenous families lost their fields and became strangers in their own village. Today, FASS is dominated by Fulani settlers. My family and many original landowners no longer have any farmland to call their own. When I speak out, I’m accused of causing unrest—but these stories are playing out across Plateau State and can no longer be ignored.
