APGA, Wike’s PDP and Nenadi’s LP Miss INEC’s 2027 Candidate Upload Deadline

APGA, Wike’s PDP and Nenadi’s LP Miss INEC’s 2027 Candidate Upload Deadline

Three parties have yet to upload their presidential and running-mate details to the INEC portal ahead of the July 14 cutoff. They are APGA, the Wike-led PDP faction and the Nenadi Usman-led LP faction. INEC extended the deadline from July 11 after requests from several parties but warned no further extensions would be granted. Submissions will now be processed under the Electoral Act and INEC guidelines. Major contenders including the APC, ADC and NDC have completed their uploads. Yet in Benue, Kwara and Nasarawa states, confusion persists over some National Assembly entries on the portal. These delays come amid legal battles within the ADC leadership and a court dispute over the Accord Party’s nomination. Observers say unresolved issues could affect confidence in the 2027 election process.

You're spot on, that deadline slip-up could really shake up their campaign momentum.

It's unusual that three significant factions all missed the same INEC cutoff, even after the extension.

I'm not convinced this delay is mere oversight; internal disputes within those parties might be dragging their feet.

Parties should ensure their campaign lawyers double-check INEC deadlines to avoid similar risks before the next election milestone.
