Ojodu LCDA Graduates 150 Youths in Advanced Digital Skills Training
One hundred and fifty youths from Ojodu Local Council Development Area completed a comprehensive digital skills programme on Thursday. The training covered digital literacy, social media marketing, cloud computing, cybersecurity, IoT and artificial intelligence through both in-person and virtual classes. At the council secretariat in Oke-Ira, the chairman described the ‘Building Blocks of Future’ curriculum as a key step toward a digitally empowered community. He urged graduates to leverage their new skills to compete globally, innovate solutions and protect digital systems. Under the HEYS Reloaded agenda, the council has also trained over 2,600 primary and 2,100 secondary pupils. It upgraded the ICT centre, launched an Electronic Medical Records platform, revamped the council website and introduced the Ojodu Works App. Highlights of the ceremony included laptops awarded to the top five students, who will continue advanced training in South Africa. Graduates say the programme has opened new career paths and practical income opportunities.
