The Nigeria Police Force wrapped up its 2026 National Police Day with a vibrant parade and procession at Eagle Square, Abuja. Personnel from the Police Force and partner agencies—NSCDC, FRSC, Customs, Immigration, Correctional Service and NDLEA—marched together to showcase strengthened security collaboration. The Vice President, lawmakers, security chiefs and former Inspectors-General attended. In his address, the Vice President praised the Force’s resilience and reiterated government support for police reform and welfare. IGP Olatunji Disu honoured fallen officers and reaffirmed a vision for an accountable, intelligence-led, community-focused Police. Events such as a nationwide walkathon, medical outreaches and welfare presentations further underscored the Force’s drive to build public trust and enhance officer wellbeing.
