President Tinubu Postpones Ogun Visit to Commiserate with Plateau Attack Victims
President Bola Tinubu has cancelled his planned trip to Iperu, Ogun State. He will instead travel to Jos, Plateau State, to console families of the over 40 people killed in the Angwan Rukuba terrorist attack on Palm Sunday. The decision was announced on April 1 by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. Tinubu said his first duty is to stand with the people of Plateau, strengthen security responses, and ensure justice for the victims. After Plateau, the President will observe Good Friday in Lagos before resuming engagements in Ogun, Lagos, and Bayelsa focused on infrastructure, trade, and economic growth. Tinubu emphasised that in moments of grief Nigerians must stand together, and in moments of progress they must keep building.
