The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) has expressed relief over the safe release of abducted teachers and pupils in Oriire Local Government Area, Oyo State. The union praised the unity of educators and the prayers of parents and stakeholders during the crisis. It commended the Federal Government, the Oyo State Government and security agencies for their swift and coordinated efforts that led to the successful operation. NUT also thanked traditional rulers, religious groups, labour bodies, school principals and civil society for their support and solidarity.
