Enzo Fernández Spotted in Madrid Following Two-Game Ban

Enzo Fernández Spotted in Madrid Following Two-Game Ban — 1 of 5
1 / 5

Enzo Fernández flew to Madrid after serving a two-match suspension imposed by former interim manager Liam Rosenior. He had missed Chelsea’s FA Cup tie with Port Vale and a league clash with Manchester City after remarks about wanting to live in the Spanish capital. The Argentine midfielder, who scored the winning goal in the FA Cup semi-final against Leeds, was joined in Madrid by teammates Marc Cucurella and Joao Pedro. Fernández travelled without his partner, fuelling fresh speculation about a move to Real Madrid despite his apology and Chelsea’s hopes of reintegration. Since his January 2023 move from Benfica for a British-record fee, he has made 161 appearances for the Blues, contributing 28 goals and 29 assists. Chelsea now prepare for a Premier League home game against Nottingham Forest on May 4.
