Accord Party Cuts 2027 Nomination Fees by Up to 70% for Women, Youth and PWDs
At its National Executive Council meeting, Accord Party introduced sweeping fee waivers to broaden access to its 2027 nomination process. Standard fees remain at ₦20 million for presidential forms and ₦10 million for expressions of interest. Under the new policy, women and persons with disabilities receive a 70% reduction, while aspirants under 40 enjoy a 50% waiver across all positions. The party says this aims to correct long-standing gaps and empower underrepresented groups. Membership registration and form sales close on April 26, with nominations ending on April 25. The early deadline underscores Accord’s push for disciplined, inclusive candidate selection ahead of the next general elections.
