Davido Invited by Police Over Alleged $50,000 Loud in Lagos Performance Dispute

Nigerian singer Davido has been invited by the Force Criminal Investigation Department over a petition linked to an alleged $50,000 performance agreement with Loud in Lagos, a Victoria Island entertainment venue. The venue's proprietor alleges that the money was paid for a proposed performance that did not hold after the event was postponed. The petition claims that only $5,000 was refunded and asks police to investigate and recover the outstanding balance. Loud in Lagos says it has video and other evidence to support its claims. The dispute recalls Davido's previous contract case with Amaju Pinnick's company, which was settled out of court in 2024 after Davido agreed to perform and contribute to legal costs.
