Katsina State Accelerates Adoption of Safe Schools Policy

Katsina State Accelerates Adoption of Safe Schools Policy

The Katsina State Government is intensifying efforts to make schools safer. They plan to domesticate the National Policy on Safety, Security and Violence-Free Schools. Mr. Nasir Ahmed, Director of Planning, Research and Statistics at the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, shared this update on Saturday. He met with Commissioner Yusuf Suleiman-Jibia alongside the policy review committee. The review is supported by Save the Children International under the Education Cannot Wait project. Officials say aligning the policy with local realities will strengthen standards and keep schools secure for teaching and learning.
