Kwankwaso Says Obi-Kwankwaso Ticket Could Beat Any Rival in 2027

Former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso says a potential Peter Obi-Kwankwaso presidential ticket could defeat any rival in the 2027 election. Speaking during an interview in Abuja, Kwankwaso said the proposed alliance would combine Obi’s support in the South with his own political base in the North. He argued that the ticket would offer credibility, experience and a balance across regional and religious lines. Kwankwaso said both politicians understand the hardship facing Nigerians, including poverty, insecurity, weak infrastructure and challenges confronting farmers. He also criticised the impact of fuel subsidy removal and cheap food imports. He said the proposed coalition involving the Kwankwasiyya Movement, the National Democratic Congress and Obi’s supporters would pursue change based on fairness, justice and equity.
