LASU’s 121st Inaugural Lecture: That We May Age Gracefully

Lagos State University will host its 121st inaugural lecture on ageing and social development. Professor Olanrewaju Emmanuel Ajiboye of the Department of Sociology will deliver a lecture titled “That We May Age Gracefully: A Social Gerontologist’s X-Ray of Later Life.” The event highlights years of his research and advocacy on dignity, gender and inclusion in later life. This lecture will offer insights for families, caregivers, policymakers and all who care about older adults. It takes place at the Buba Marwa Auditorium, Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
