Support Worker Struck Off for Sharing Bed and Sending Sexual Images to 15-Year-Old
Chloe Short, a 28-year-old support worker from Caerphilly, has been removed from the professional register after admitting sexual activity with a 15-year-old boy. Hired to provide overnight respite care, she shared a bed with the teenager, filmed a short sexualised kiss and sent him images of herself wearing only a towel. The misconduct came to light when her partner grew suspicious and reviewed messages on Short’s phone. At a fitness-to-practice hearing, the panel described her behaviour as “wholly inappropriate” and a breach of the trust placed in her role. Short had previously received a ten-month suspended prison sentence for engaging in sexual activity with a child. Committee chairman Steve Jones ruled that striking her off was the only acceptable sanction given the seriousness of her actions.
