Spirit-Empowered Advance: Beyond Willpower

Scripture reminds us in Judges 3:10 that “the Spirit of the Lord came on him, so that he became Israel’s judge and went to war.” Othniel’s victory was rooted not in his past records of courage but in God’s empowerment. Too often we rely on willpower alone and end up exhausted. Real and lasting advance happens when we invite the Spirit of God into our battles. Pause before your next challenge and ask: Am I moving in my own strength, or am I relying on divine power? Prayer: Father, renew Your Spirit in me today. I refuse to advance by my own effort alone. Empower me to overcome every obstacle and bring lasting peace, in Jesus’ name.
