Dipo Awojide Seeks ₦50m Damages From Adeleke Aide Over Alleged Defamation
Dr. Dipo Awojide, known as Ogbeni Dipo, has demanded a public apology, retraction and ₦50 million in compensation from Bankole Omisore, an aide to Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke. Through his lawyers, Awojide accused Omisore of publishing false claims about him on X, including allegations of theft, dismissal from a UK job, working as airport security and falsely claiming to be a lecturer. The legal team said the posts received more than 500,000 impressions and damaged Awojide’s reputation. The letter requests a settlement, warning that further legal action may follow if the demands are not met.
