APC, ADC Clash on Tinubu’s Educational Credentials and Eligibility
A heated exchange broke out between members of the All Progressives Congress and the African Democratic Congress over President Bola Tinubu’s educational credentials and the constitutional requirements for elective office. During Channels Television’s Politics Today, ADC chieftain Kalu Kalu challenged Tinubu to identify the primary and secondary schools he attended. APC member Alwan Hassan responded that the Constitution requires candidates to have a school certificate or its equivalent. Hassan argued that the equivalent qualification includes the ability to read and write. The debate has renewed attention on candidates’ educational records ahead of the 2027 general election.
