Religion Says “Do”; Jesus Says “Done”
Calling others blind does not give anyone vision. Religion can build churches and preach grace, yet still fail to reflect compassion for the poor or address the brokenness within people. I see religion as outward rule-following and behaviour modification. It can become like spraying perfume on a casket: covering the surface without reaching the real problem. The church is not a museum for perfect people; it is a hospital for the broken. With Jesus, I do not have to hide my failures or sins. Salvation depends on His finished work, not my ability to keep a long list of rules. Religion says, “Do,” but Jesus says, “Done.” Religion places people in bondage, while Jesus offers freedom, sight and the right to be called children of God. Religion is humanity searching for God. Christianity is God reaching for humanity through Jesus Christ. He said, “It is finished,” and He meant it. Come to Jesus; He loves you.
