UNIOSUN Demands Probe as Soldiers Accused of Raiding Hostels, Assaulting Students
Osun State University says soldiers from the nearby Army Depot stormed several hostels on Monday evening and allegedly assaulted over 20 students. Officials report that the soldiers seized more than 60 mobile phones and electronic devices. Female students claim they were stripped and subjected to inappropriate contact, while male students were beaten. Two victims required medical treatment. Three suspected soldiers have been identified and brought to campus as the university and Nigerian Army continue investigations into all claims, including unconfirmed reports of rape.
