Katsina’s Revenue Soars to ₦3bn Monthly After Leakages Blocked
Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda announced that monthly Internally Generated Revenue rose from about ₦400m to ₦3bn under his administration. He credited the surge to blocking leakages and adopting the Treasury Single Account system. He said these reforms have improved transparency and accountability across all government institutions. Radda noted that his team has fulfilled nearly 90% of its campaign promises in key sectors such as agriculture, education, MSMEs, public service, and security. He added that recent security investments have led to a noticeable decline in crime. The governor also highlighted efforts to support internally displaced persons and tackle malnutrition. His administration invested over ₦3bn in stabilization and outpatient therapeutic centres, partnering with development organisations. A delegation from the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission is now in the state to begin a nationwide data verification exercise.
