Anambra Security Outfit Hands Recovered Rifles, Rocket Launcher to Nigerian Army

Anambra State Homeland Security outfit, Agunechemba, has handed over two General Purpose rifles and a locally made rocket launcher recovered from suspected armed criminals to the Nigerian Army. The weapons were transferred during a ceremony in Awka on August 1. Agunechemba said its operatives recovered them during an operation in which the suspects fled after resisting arrest. No casualties were reported. The security outfit said the recovery reflects its collaboration with the Nigerian Army, police and other agencies. Army representatives commended the cooperation and pledged continued support for security operations across Anambra State.
