Elliot Defends Standing with 37 Lawmakers in Obasa Impeachment Notice

Honourable Desmond Elliot has explained his role in the impeachment move against Speaker Mudashiru Obasa. In a recent interview on Channels TV, he said he refused to abandon the 37 lawmakers who had already signed the notice, calling it cowardly to leave them on such a critical issue. Elliot also praised Femi Gbajabiamila as a trusted mentor on major House decisions. He clarified that while Gbajabiamila discussed the matter with him, he never asked Elliot to publicly disown the impeachment effort.
