From Curiosity to Code: The Origin Story of Mehtic Technology

From Curiosity to Code: The Origin Story of Mehtic Technology

The journey behind Mehtic Technology began years before any startup existed. As a teenager, I wasn’t content just using devices. I spent hours fixing phones, flashing firmware and experimenting with custom ROMs. That curiosity taught me more than device repair—it taught me how to think like an engineer. At the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, I planned to learn Java but discovered PHP and quickly became obsessed. I built small projects and shared my progress on a popular developer forum. Those early posts connected me with clients and future partners in unexpected ways. The biggest lesson? You never know which piece of work will open doors. Keep building, keep learning and keep sharing. In Part 2, I’ll explain how a simple banking side project led to my first major fintech opportunity and paved the way for Mehtic Technology.
