Teyana Taylor and Clipse Dominate 2026 BET Awards While Cardi B and Kendrick Lamar Shine
The 2026 BET Awards at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater celebrated top talents in music, film, television and sports. Teyana Taylor and hip-hop duo Clipse led the night with three awards each. Taylor claimed Best Actress, Video Director of the Year and the new Fashion Vanguard Award, plus she was honored as Icon of the Year. Clipse won Album of the Year, Best Group and Best Collaboration for “Chains & Whips” featuring Kendrick Lamar. Kendrick Lamar and Kehlani earned two wins apiece, while Cardi B returned to the winners’ circle as Best Female Hip Hop Artist. Kehlani also secured Video of the Year for her hit “Folded.” New milestones included Olivia Dean landing Best New Artist and Leon Thomas winning Best Male R&B/Pop Artist. In film, Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” took Best Movie, and Michael B. Jordan won Best Actor for his role in the production.
