Kaduna Governor’s Aide Boasts “We Rigged Igabi Elections Multiple Times”

A top adviser to Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani openly admitted manipulating election outcomes in Igabi Local Government Area. He claimed he and others rigged both primary and general elections there “many times.” He made the remarks while responding to criticisms from former Assembly Speaker Yusuf Zailani. Zailani had accused party leaders of injustice and warned that primaries rigging would repeat in the 2027 general election. The governor’s aide reminded him of past encounters with police and the EFCC and urged stakeholders to ignore Zailani’s outbursts. He dismissed fears of resistance and insisted the party is strong enough to handle any challenge without federal intervention.
