Okada Rider Stabbed to Death, Motorcycle Stolen in Abaji, FCT
Suspected hoodlums attacked a commercial motorcyclist, known as Malam Ali, and stabbed him to death in a community near Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). They then escaped with his motorcycle. A fellow rider, Suleiman Ibrahim, said Malam Ali had just dropped off a passenger in Agyana village and was returning to Abaji town on the night of May 25 when the attackers flagged him down. They suddenly pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the neck and abdomen before fleeing. Residents waited until around 10pm for his return. When he did not come back, they searched and found his lifeless body by the roadside. Police and local vigilantes were alerted and evacuated the corpse to Abaji. A vigilante member and a police source at the Abaji Division confirmed the killing and said investigations are ongoing. The victim’s family was consulted before his burial in the community.
