Jennifer Beals rose to fame as Alexandra Owens in the 1983 hit Flashdance. She earned an NAACP Image Award and a Golden Globe nomination for that role. Over four decades, she has appeared in films like Vampire’s Kiss, The Book of Eli, and Luckiest Girl Alive. On television, Beals made her mark as Bette Porter in The L Word and its sequel Generation Q. Her work on these series brought her critical acclaim and a Satellite Award nomination. She has also led shows such as The Chicago Code, Proof, Taken, and The Book of Boba Fett. Off-screen, Beals is an advocate for women’s and LGBTQ+ rights.
