Ibadan Court Arraigns 56-Year-Old Over Alleged ₦4.9m Toyota Corolla Fraud

A 56-year-old man has been arraigned before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan over an alleged ₦4.9 million fraud. The prosecution alleged that he collected the money from Aminu Aliu in January, promising to sell him a Toyota Corolla. He was accused of failing to deliver the vehicle and converting the money to personal use. He pleaded not guilty to charges of obtaining money by false pretence and stealing. The court granted him ₦1 million bail with two sureties and adjourned the case until October 27 for hearing.
