Adeleke Alleges Plot to Bypass Osun Election Collation Process

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has alleged that the APC planned to bypass the established electoral collation process during the governorship election. Speaking after voting at Sagba Abogunde Ward 2, Unit 9, in Ede North LGA, Adeleke said results should move through the proper chain from polling units to wards and then local governments. The Accord Party candidate also alleged that a police officer known as “London” had been brought in from Port Harcourt to cause unrest. He urged the Inspector-General of Police and other security agencies to investigate the claim and protect the electoral process.

The allegation is serious, but it should be weighed against verifiable procedures and evidence rather than political statements alone.

Officials should clearly explain each collation stage and release updates promptly so parties and voters can follow the process.
