16-Year-Old Girl Escapes Kidnapper After Silent ‘Help’ Signal at Petrol Station — 1 of 3
1 / 3

A 16-year-old girl was abducted at gunpoint while waiting at a bus stop in Hamtramck, Michigan. The suspect, 48-year-old Donald Fields, forced her into a van and allegedly assaulted her before driving to a nearby petrol station. When the victim was asked to buy cigarettes, she silently mouthed “help” to the attendant behind the protective glass. The worker quickly intervened, ushering her to safety and detaining the man until police arrived. Fields was arrested on site and charged with kidnapping, first-degree sexual conduct, felonious assault, and firearm offences. He pleaded not guilty and remains held without bond. Authorities praised the girl’s quick thinking for preventing further harm.
