Noor Takaful, Noor Health Share ₦427.96m Surplus With Participants

Noor Takaful Insurance and Noor Health have distributed ₦427.96 million in surplus to participants and enrollees who made no claims during the 2024 financial year. More than 1,000 participants are expected to benefit from the distribution. At the Lagos ceremony, the company said the surplus came from the participants’ risk pool after claims and other obligations were settled. It added that its customer base has grown from about 60 participants at inception to roughly 4,000. Noor Takaful also said it has paid about ₦22 billion in claims since it began operations. NAICOM said Takaful operators are currently well capitalised and do not require another recapitalisation exercise at this time.
