1 / 3

Big Brother Naija star Cross Okonkwo has warned fans about fake wedding invites. He posted on Instagram that someone is charging N500,000 for invites. He stressed he is only issuing free access cards. Anyone demanding money is a scammer and should be reported immediately. Cross and his wife, Chinonso, tied the knot in a court wedding on February 23rd. He shared photos, introduced them as Mr and Mrs Okonkwo, and thanked God for the union. The couple first got engaged in October 2025. Cross shared proposal videos online and vowed to love Chinonso “today, tomorrow, and forever.”

Has anyone received those alleged invites asking for N500k, or is this purely a scam alert from Cross?

In reality, charging fees for a free event invitation seems unlikely, but we've seen stranger scams before.

Always confirm event details through official BBNaija channels before paying anyone, and report any suspicious requests immediately.
