ACF Warns Tinubu and INEC: Retrace Steps or Risk Jeopardising 2027 Polls

The Arewa Consultative Forum has cautioned President Tinubu and the Independent National Electoral Commission that recent decisions could threaten the integrity of the 2027 general election. ACF spokesperson T. A. Muhammad-Baba told Leadership newspaper that removing the ADC leadership and introducing voter revalidation may erode public trust and destabilise the democratic process. He warned that Nigeria is already battling insecurity and economic hardship. Adding political tension now, he said, could spark a fresh crisis. ACF urged the government, INEC and all stakeholders to stick to democratic principles and ensure every action strengthens the nation’s democracy.
