Bayelsa Farmer Cries Out After Herders Level Her Entire Farm

Enibo Albert, a Bayelsa farmer, says herders and their cattle have invaded her farmland and destroyed all her crops for the second time. She adds that her first plea on social media was dismissed as “shouting,” and no action was taken. Showing the ruined field, she says: "The destruction that these herders have caused right now is worse than I've ever seen. They've levelled, they've finished everything. I don't know what else to say or do, but they've finished everything I have." Farming is her only source of livelihood, she explains. "I have no job, I have nothing. Government cannot protect it. Government has failed me. It has failed countless farmers in Yenagoa."
