Why the FG Should Deploy the Nigerian Navy to Evacuate Nigerians Stranded in South Africa

I believe the FG should send a Nigerian Navy ship instead of relying on costly Air Peace flights. This naval mission would be cheaper and serve as vital training for our sailors. Each evacuee should undergo screening on arrival to verify their activities in South Africa. This will ensure accountability. I also propose a five-year ban on applying for a new passport for anyone found to have abused it during their stay abroad.

Has anyone considered how long it would take for a naval ship to reach South Africa compared to a flight?

Valid point, ship travel might stretch into days while flight lands in just hours.

Using the Navy for evacuation sounds cost effective, but maintenance and crew readiness could add hidden expenses.

I no too sure say the Navy fit handle mass evacuation without clear logistics and crew training for such extended voyage.

The government could stage joint naval exercises on the route before actual deployment to iron out operational challenges and ensure crew readiness.
